Winners of the Lore of the Jade Amulet contestnils (Feb 23 2014)

Many stories have been written about the origins and lore of the Jade Amulet, but ultimately three winners arises as victorious.

Winners will soon be contacted via PM and email. 1st Prize Winner - Gold  Ark11 - Story of the Jade Tiger Ark11 tells the story of Bashka, the Jade tiger that protects Tiquanda. The very heart of Bashka, the jade stone, was crafted into the Jade Amulet by Bashka's prophet, Merlkin. The Jade Amulet was imbued with the wisdom and strength of Bashka, giving rise to the Hall of Fame - a place to commemorate the spirit of Bashka. Jury motivation: A well-written and unique take on the origin story of the Jade Amulet, accomplished by beautifully crafted story cards. A great amount of work was put into this story. It truly puts together some of the qualities we can find in the Jade Amulet, that of wisdom and strength, this story showed that. 2nd Prize Winner - Silver  eamsamaraka - Story of Princess Lumina Demonbane eamsamaraka tells the story of Lumina Demonbane, a princess who fought and banished the Triangle of terror with the help of the Jade Amulet. The Jade Amulet itself was a creation by Fardos, a sacred weapon and gift to mankind, a symbol of dignity, purity, and willpower. Jury motivation: An epic story that puts the Jade Amulet in between the wars of the Triangle of Terror and the Tibians. In just under 500 words it has everything: strong characters, epic battles, and the Jade Amulet to guide Tibians in the right direction. 3rd Prize Winner - Bronze  adivali22 - Story of three sorcerer brothers adivali22's lighthearted story of the three sorcerer brothers Fernando, Feizander, and Furbello. In celebration of their promotion to master sorcerers, one of them will be awarded the love of Jade Ivoreth. In doing so, mischevious things happen and they are banned from practising magic but once a year. They craft the Jade Amulet from a spike plant and give it to Jade and vow to never let a woman come between them ever again. Jury motivation: This story was a much lighthearted and fun story of the origins of the Jade Amulet. It stood out from the other stories, as one of wit and play. Story excerpts You have put a lot of work into your stories and some of you have even taken to drawing some rather nifty images for your stories. In ancient times, a tiger roamed Tiquanda. It was no normal animal, rather it was a magical creature with a body of pure jade. His name was Bashka and he was the spiritual guardian of Tiquanda. His strength, agility and intelligence made him a dangerous and deadly foe. But above all, the jade tiger was wise and fair and no injustice took place under his reign. He banished behemoths and hydras to the forbidden land and build a big wall to imprison them.
The ape people of Banuta worshipped him as a deity, and the wisest of them, a blind Merlkin, became his prophet.  Crimm - The Emperor Quote:
After a few days, a round intricate amulet was presented to the emperor. It was made of jade and lined with gold, and even a dwarf geomancer had enchanted it, causing symbols to disappear and reappear in the amulet’s center. A faint green glow emanated from it as well. The emperor was quite pleased and rewarded the servants greatly for their work, for they had combined the two things he loved most: jade and gold. The emperor wore this amulet all the time, believing it to be a symbol that corruption would never reach him as long as he had it.

 togler999 - Jade Dragon Quote:
At first, the creator Fardos and Uman the Wise faced many problems, chaos and silence ruled the universe began to fade and the world took shape. As the balance of creation is destruction, Zathroth the destroyer wasn’t happy with what his brothers had created, missed the emptiness of the universe, but Uman convinced him not to interfere. However, Zathroth decided to sabotage the plan of his brothers, bringing down destruction in the world, but ultimately couldn’t overcome the powers of his brothers.
 eamsamaraka - Princess Lumina Quote:
Princess Lumina fought well, uniting dwarfs with elves, peasants with kings and even the wildlife with natures aid on the battlefield.
The battle ended after four years of bloodshed and pain, but Lumina stood above all and banished the Triangle of Terror, raising the Jade Amulet to the sky in victory before she disappeared from Earth and was never seen again.  Skynoryu - The Jade Warrior Quote:
